INS letter arrives...

We finally received our I171H (Letter of Favorable Determination) yesterday from INS. I had received an email on Monday saying it had been approved and was in the mail. After nothing on Thursday, I sent another email to INS. After no response from them and again no letter, I sent another email about 1:00 on Friday. Late Friday afernoon I did receive an email from them. According to them there was a mix up and it was sent to the wrong family. Not sure if this is true or not, and at this point I really don't care. I am just glad to finally have all of our paperwork so I can get it all certified and sent to Washington for authentication. It will take several weeks for the next things to happen and then finally our dossier can be sent to China. It has been such a tedious process. Please pray that these next few steps that have to happen with our paperwork (dossier) will go smoothly. Once our dossier gets to China it will be translated by our agency and then it will finally go to the CCAA (China Center for Adoption Affairs). Only then can our dossier be processed and matched with Ellie's paperwork. For China to process our dossier, get it matched with her paperwork, and finally get travel approval can take 4-5 months. All this to say...it may take as long as 6 more months to get to travel. Please continue to pray for Ellie as she waits...
